Grommet Presses

About the grommet sizes: the size generally refer to the hole diameter of grommet. Common sizes in North America are: #0 (1/4"), #1 (5/16"), #2 (3/8"), #3 (7/16"), #4 (1/2"), #5 (5/8").

Hiker Grommet Press for Self Piercing and Thick Material Applications (Model: H-901B, AIP-X060)

This Hiker grommet press is a heavy duty grommet machine that can be used for grommeting signs, banners among many applications. It offers all the versatility with interchangeable dies of different sizes from common #0 to #5 to different type of grommets (standard, long barrel) with flat, turn-over and spur washers. The lower die is adjustable, which provides a consistent, quality setting in various material thickness. One press for all applications.

Hiker Industrial Grommet Press, foot operated (Model: H-230DD/H-230LD, AIP-X076/X077)

The Hiker H-230 grommet press, also called Kick Press (because it's foot operated), is designed for both hands holding material and large quantity production. This Kick Press is an industrial grade press made of solid cast iron. It has an adjustable lower die holder so easy adjustments can be made for various material thicknesses. The die are also interchangeable so several sizes and types of grommets can be inserted with the same press. It uses the same dies with the hand press H-901 (see above).

Hiker Self Piercing Grommets, standard and long barrel sizes

We carry all Hiker self piercing grommets, including standard and long barrel grommets. The long barrel grommets, (available for #2 only, can be used for grommeting thick materials such as 10 mm thick coroplast. All Hiker grommets are made with high quality brass material. Available colors are brass, nickel-plated (over brass material) and chemical black (coated over brass material).

Self-piercing grommets eliminate extra steps and save time, thus save you money! The tip of the barrel on each grommet is sharper and the material is more rigid, which allows the grommet to cut its own perfect sized hole every time, therefore eliminates the need to punch holes separately. These self piercing grommets can even penetrate aluminum plates.
