Guidelines for Washing Heat Transferred T-shirts

After you have done a successful heat transfer, the next thing is to let your customers know the washing guidelines. In general, the following guidelines should be followed.

• Wash the t-shirt with newly transferred image before wearing it.
• Wait for 24 hours before you wash T-shirt with newly transferred image. If dye-based ink is use for printing, wait for 48 hours.
• When washing, make sure the T-shirt is inside out, and do not use aggressive detergent or bleach.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not directly iron on the image; iron on the inside.

When your t-shirt with your favorite image gets worn out, you can improve the colors of the transferred image. Place a greaseproof paper directly on top of the image, and iron over the greaseproof paper for a few seconds. Then peel off the greaseproof paper immediately while it's still hot (for light color transfer) or after cooling off (for dark transfer paper).
